1. No direct mention of “Palestine” by name

The word “Palestine” (فلسطين, Filastin) does not appear explicitly in the Quran.

Instead, the Quran refers to the “Holy Land” or “the land which We have blessed for the worlds”—commonly understood by scholars and Muslims to include the area of Palestine and surrounding regions.

2. The “Blessed Land”

Several verses mention a blessed or holy land given by God to the Children of Israel (Bani Israel). 

For example:

“And We said to the Children of Israel after him: Dwell in the land, then, when there comes the promise of the Hereafter, We will bring you as a mixed crowd.”

The Quran also references events linked to these prophets, which are often situated historically in the land that includes present-day Palestine and Israel.

While the name “Jerusalem” doesn’t appear in the Quran, the city is referenced indirectly through the “Al-Aqsa Mosque” in:

“Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque (Al-Aqsa Mosque), whose surroundings We have blessed…”

Al-Aqsa Mosque is located in Jerusalem and is considered the third holiest site in Islam.
